Yard House at The Banks was forced to close after a fire Sunday evening and it remains unclear when the restaurant will reopen.

Cincinnati Fire Department personnel were dispatched around 7:12 p.m. for a report of heavy smoke, officials said in a news release.

When they arrived on the scene, firefighters started working to suppress a blaze in the Downtown restaurant's kitchen area. Officials said that heavy smoke and fire were showing from the roof.

The fire was knocked down in roughly 10 minutes and the building was evacuated of all staff and patrons. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.

Officials said fire investigators determined the blaze to be accidental and it caused roughly $150,000 in damages.

The department told Enquirer media partner Fox19 that the restaurant would be “closed for a while” due to extensive kitchen damage, adding that the health department has to clean everything before a reopening.

A Yard House employee would not comment Monday morning and directed questions to the Orlando-based restaurant chain's corporate office. The Enquirer left a message with that office.

    Enquirer media partner Fox19 contributed.
