Elly De La Cruz's "Little League Triple" Goes Viral

Cincinnati Reds all-star shortstop Elly De La Cruz went viral Monday night with a "little league triple" against the Miami Marlins . Have a routine ground ball to the pitcher; he overthrew first base, leading Cruz to second when the base was unoccupied, which ultimately led him to third over a second throwing error.

De La Cruz hit a two-run home run earlier in the game, giving him his 19th home run and 47th RBI of the year. ESPN's Jeff Passan asked Cruz who the most electric player in the MLB was, and his response was blunt and quick.

"You're sitting right in front of him." De La Cruz said.

Cruz is one player that doesn't dwindle in the confidence department, but it always comes in good faith. He is interactive, joyful, and plays with a ton of fun. The effects he has on the game and the base paths where he is currently leading the league in stolen bases are immense.
