Elly De La Cruz gives signed bat to young fan who told him twice to hit home runs

Elly De La Cruz had quite a night in the Cincinnati Reds' 10-3 win Monday against the Marlins in Miami.

De La Cruz homered in the first inning and the eighth inning, and added two doubles.

And the Reds tweeted that De La Cruz heard a young fan tell him to hit a home run before each of his blasts, his 19th and 20th of the season.

De La Cruz appeared to point toward the fan and smile after crossing home plate following the second homer.

Autograph seekers watched as Elly gave that young fan a signed bat after the game. Video from the Reds via Twitter/X:
