The Cincinnati Bengals and their second-most important player on the roster are in the midst of a contract dispute .

But despite the fact that Ja'Marr Chase is rightfully seeking a new deal to assure he is paid at the top of the market as he deserves to be and not practicing as a result, he has been in the building as an encouraging and positive force for the other players on the roster.

Not many would blame Chase if he were to hold out entirely with the eventual contract more as a when than an if, but that's not the route he is choosing to go. Head coach Zac Taylor was asked by Kay Adams of Up and Adams what the impact is of having Chase in the building and what it shows about him as a player and a person.

"Ja'Marr affects the chemistry on the team in a positive way," Taylor said . "When your star player has the energy and the enthusiasm that he does, whether he's just out there with the ball cap on or in the meeting rooms or in the locker room, Ja'Marr has an effect on the team that is genuinely positive. I think he wields that the right way and he can really sway the mood of the locker room and I appreciate that. He and I are on the same page and he's easy to communicate with."

All signs point to Chase being fully back on the field sooner rather than later, which will be a tremendous boost to an offense looking to gain its chemistry back that helped the team to deep playoff runs in 2021 and 2022.
