The Cincinnati Reds are coming off an impressive 10-3 win to begin the week and the series against the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park on Monday. They will look to continue the momentum heading into game two of the series.
The Reds will go with Nick Lodolo (8-4, 3.99 ERA) on Tuesday against the Marlins. Lodolo is looking for a strong bounce back outing as he struggled the last time out. In his last start, he gave up eight runs on 11 hits over 5.2 innings against the Chicago Cubs to just miss out on the sweep for the team. He will be looking to collect his first win on the mound since June 18th.
The Marlins will point to top prospect Max Meyer (2-1, 3.81 ERA) to make his third start since returning from Triple-A Jacksonville. In his last outing, he went five innings against the Atlanta Braves, giving up four runs on seven hits.
