Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz (44) celebrates scoring a run in the third inning against the Miami Marlins at loanDepot Park.

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz continued to show why he's one of the best showmen in baseball on Tuesday night.

At the top of the third inning against Miami, Marlins pitcher Max Meyer had his back turned. De La Cruz took advantage of the opportunity, bolting to third base. When Meyer turned around and attempted to throw the ball to third, it was too late.

The Reds defeated the Marlins 8-2 , earning their second consecutive victory. De La Cruz notched his second straight four-hit game, driving in two RBI and scoring two runs.

FanGraphs Baseball gives the Reds (55-58) a 5.1% chance to make the playoffs, the worst in the National League Central. However, 22-year-old De La Cruz should provide reasons for optimism.

Through 111 games, the All-Star leads the majors in stolen bases (58) and has 20 home runs . Per MLB.com's Paige Leckie, De La Cruz, Hall of Famer Joe Morgan and Eric Davis are the only players in franchise history to reach those marks in a season.
