The City’s Development Services Department will be moving to City Hall on Monday, Aug. 19. Beginning on this date, all in-person development-related services, such as building permits, trades, plats, infrastructure, zoning, water development, backflow, and grease traps, will be available on the fifth floor of City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail.

Why it’s important: This relocation aims to prioritize and enhance customer service and streamline the development process by providing a more convenient way to access all necessary services in one location.

Changes to expect: Due to the consolidation of development-related services on one floor, there is limited customer seating on the fifth floor. Consequently, a new and simplified sign-in process will be introduced for customers seeking assistance with their development projects.

    • Upon arrival, in-person customers will be invited to sign in at lobby kiosks and wait to be called up to the fifth floor for assistance.
    • Alternatively, appointments can be prearranged by visiting the Development Services website or by scanning the QR code below.
    • This new process is intended to provide customers with a faster and more personalized experience. All services will continue to be available at their current location, the Lower Level of old City Hall, 200 Texas St., until 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16. Services at the new location will be available beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19.

    What is not changing

    • Hours of operation (8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday)
    • Online systems (Accela, CFW Permit Assist)
    • Customer service phone number (817-392-2222)
