A voluntary boil advisory was issued earlier today by the Camden County Public Water Supply District #4 due to a water main break. Once the water main break is repaired, the boil advisory will likely continue until notified otherwise.

The advisory affects Kays Point Rd East & West to and including Bella Vista Court, Kays Point Court, Crown Point Drive, Crown Point Lane, Kings Lane, Queens Point, and Jewel Drive. (Source.)

When this occurs, it's inconvenient but having to boil water is better than having no water. When my family experienced a water main repair twice this year, our water was off until the repairs were completed. We had the boil advisory afterward. We also purchased drinking water.

When a water main breaks, it's important to adhere to the instructions provided by the water supply district. The main purpose of a boil water advisory is to protect public health and safety.

No one wants to drink contaminated water. It could contain harmful bacteria, viruses, or parasites. By boiling the water, you can kill potential pathogens and make the water safe for consumption, food preparation, and other domestic uses.

It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the quality of your drinking water.

Updated information will be provided by the media and the water district's website at www.camdenpwsd4.com.

    Thanks for reading.
