Aberdeen, SD Mosquito Spraying scheduled for Wednesday, July 3rd
ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) The City of Aberdeen has scheduled a city-wide ground spray for mosquitoes on Wednesday, July 3rd between the hours of 8:30 pm and 12:30 am. The adulticiding equipment is noisy and travels at 10 mph. The mosquito control trucks are identified and travel with a flashing yellow light. To ensure spray effectiveness during the spraying operations, the wind must be 15 mph or less and no inclement weather present. Winds higher than 15 mph or inclement weather will result in the spray being suspended until conditions improve.

Arts In the Park to Return to Mitchell

Commissioners Choose to Let ATV and Dirt Bike Ordinance Die
Madison will, for now, not pursue an ordinance regulating ATV and dirt bike use in the city. The City Commission approved a First Reading of the ordinance at their last meeting in June. It came about after complaints were made to police about their use at at least one residence in town. At the time, commissioners said they wanted to receive more public comment before giving the ordinance final approval.
Lots Annexed for Kwik Star Construction, Trees to be Burned by Trojan Village
During Monday’s regular Madison City Commission meeting, commissioners approved a resolution to annex Lot 1 and 2 of Schultz’s Second Addition. The lots are located directly to the south of Prostrollo’s, across 10th Street SE. The location is set to be developed into a Kwik Star convenience store.
