Upcoming On The Canals excursions in Brockport
The Village of Brockport is offering the following free events through the On the Canals program sponsored by the New York Power Authority. Ready to discover the world of birds? Join this one-hour introductory bird walk in Brockport’s Corbett Park and along the Erie Canal. No experience needed – just bring your curiosity. Learn how to use binoculars/monoculars to spot our feathered friends and be introduced to the common birds in our area. It’s the perfect way to enjoy nature, learn something new, and have a great time outdoors. Bird Walks are open to participants age 10 and up. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Brockport Symphony Orchestra celebrates 15th anniversary with 2024-2025 season
The Brockport Symphony Orchestra, under the artistic leadership of Founding Music Director Jonathan Allentoff and concertmaster Eloise Fadial, will celebrate their 15th anniversary with the 2024-2025 season. Fall 2024 rehearsals will begin on Thursday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Room at Cornerstone Academy, 60 Holley Street, Brockport. Openings are available for strings and select winds. Spencerport mentalist and mind reader Anthony Prezutti is debuting his all new show at the Rochester Fringe Festival on September 19 and 21 at the JCC CenterStage Theatre. Anthony brings a unique and modern type of show to the stage and takes pride in not following the typical mentalist path. Many of his routines are self created and will not be seen anywhere else. He loves to use video as part of his shows which makes for a much more entertaining experience. Audience participation is crucial, as guests on stage frequently create the best comedy.
