Emergency Food and Shelter Program applications due July 18
The United Way of Southeast Georgia is informing local nonprofits that the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), a division of the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program, is now open. Bulloch County has been awarded $36,046 from Phase 41 of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. Local service organizations providing emergency food and shelter can apply for these funds. The local board will recommend that agencies receive the funds based on priority areas such as rent, utilities, mass shelter, and food. Application Deadline: Thursday, July 18, 2024, by 4:00pm Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local organizations chosen to receive funds must meet the following criteria: Have 501(c)(3) status Maintain an accounting system Practice non-discrimination Demonstrate capacity for emergency food/shelter programs Have a voluntary board (if a private voluntary organization) United Way of Southeast Georgia Emergency Food and Shelter Program applications are due July 18, 2024.
