Larks advance, Lakers and Blues season comes to an end at Class C State Baseball Tournament.
This weekend is the 101’s State Amateur Baseball tournament in the state of Minnesota, and three teams from the North Star League played, with one advancing. We know for sure there will be a new state champion as Maple Lake the defending champs lost to Farming in the first round. The Litchfield Blues making their first state appearance since 2002, also lost, but Loretto won in ten innings, leaving two teams from the North Star League left going into next weekend, Buffalo and Loretto. The Larks will next play Saturday at 4 PM vs. Sauk Centre at Bell Plaine, while Buffalo (Who received a bye this weekend) will take on St. Joe’s at 7:30 PM on Friday night at Belle Plaine.
