    Liberty High School alumna dies in motorcycle collision

    FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A Liberty High School alumna passed away on Friday, July 26 following a motorcycle collision in Tyler County.

    According to a Facebook post from Ellyson Mortuary Inc. Amelia Raine Arnold passed away on Friday afternoon at 23 years old.

    The post goes on to state that Arnold graduated Liberty High School in 2018 and West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2022. She was described as an animal lover, and spent her spare time with friends and family, traveling, listening to music, caring for her cats and riding her motorcycle.

    Pet Supplies Plus in Clarksburg, where Arnold was employed, posted a statement on its Facebook page.

    “Amelia was a friend to all — human, furry, scaly, and feathery,” the post said. “We are so thankful and blessed to have known and been a part of Amelia’s journey in life. Her bright smile lit up our store, and she will truly leave a gap that can never be replaced.”

    A funeral service is scheduled for July 31. No further information has been released on the accident at this time.
