DSU launches program to train elder care workforce
Delaware State University will establish a program that could expand the available workforce to take care of the growing aging population in Kent and Sussex Counties. Milton downs Lewes in 8-10 Pat Knight game
In a strong showing for both teams, the Milton 8-10 Pat Knight all-stars downed their Lewes rivals 6-5 July 25 in Georgetown. Lewes got on the board in the bottom of the first inning when Max Bradshaw slammed a single. But Milton took the lead in the top of the second when they scored three. Best Little Race in the State set July 28 in Millsboro
Known as the Best Little Race in the State, the 41st annual Dam Mill 5K will be the ninth race of the Seashore Striders Summer Racing Series. It be held at Cupola Park in Millsboro beginning at 7:30 a.m., Sunday, July 28. This year’s highlights include having a new course with only one major turn in the race, a water spray both ways at the half-mile and two-and-a-half-mile marks, cool sleeveless T-shirts, large 4-inch age group medals, post-race celebration featuring Dairy Queen, and the popular Dam Mill Hall of Fame induction. Proceeds will benefit the Millsboro Fire Department, and it does not get any better than that.
