Bills Donuts: Is now reopened for Carryout
According to their website, Phil Donahue and Chet Atkins are former customers. It’s been part of the local fabric of the community since 1960. Recently the store has been closed to allow remodeling work on the building. Now they’re happy to announce that they’re open again for carryout customers only.
Cowan Lake American Lotus Celebration set for Aug. 3
The American Lotus Celebration at Cowan Lake State Park will take place on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be located on the southeast end of the lake, accessible from Yankee or Beechwood roads off of OH 350. In the small town of Blanchester, there is a family that is doing everything they can to make sure that people have access to farm-fresh food. The Tucker and Davidson families started this project with a health food store and coffee shop called The Greenhouse Bus Mercantile. This store allowed them to spread their ministry while also providing fresh produce to the people who came. This ranged from fresh kombucha to locally raised meat.
