Michigan Corrections Organization asks Gov. Whitmer for emergency assistance
Byron Osborn, president of the Michigan Corrections Organization, released a letter calling on Governor Gretchen Whitmer to provide immediate relief to corrections officers in the state. According to Osborn, officers are working mandatory overtime in dangerously understaffed conditions. He called on Gov. Whitmer to activate the National Guard until a permanent solution can be found.
