CLEARFIELD, Pa. (WTAJ) — A naked Clearfield man is accused of trying to jump off a bridge to keep from being arrested, police report.

The Clearfield Regional Police Department said they arrested 31-year-old Nicholas Osborn earlier this week after being called for a naked man in the middle of River Road.

Police said they responded around 1:30 a.m. July 15 to find Osborn, whom they said they were familiar with from a previous arrest, wearing just underwear, shoes and a hat. They said he was also under the influence. Osborn ran on foot through numerous yards and was able to evade police.

According to the criminal complaint, Osborn was later found, still in his underwear. He allegedly threatened police before a taser was used, however, it had no effect. Osborn then dove into the river to evade police again.

Police found Osborn again at around 6:13 a.m., charges show. This time, he was wrapped in a blanket and on the Nichols Street bridge, where he allegedly tried to jump from. He was physically yanked from the rail, pulled to the ground and taken into custody while resisting.
