4-Star LB Target Sets Return Visit, Nearing Decision

It’s hard to imagine any recruit helping their stock more than Logan Anderson did on the camp circuit this summer.

The 4-star linebacker (Fyffe, AL) now has more than 20 offers, with Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas and Clemson all having now offered.

Anderson worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp the first week of June and while there, he also got a tour of the facilities.

“Clemson is awesome, I love the place,” Anderson told The Clemson Insider. “The field, locker rooms, all that stuff. I like the bowling alley. And their recovery stuff,  it’s pretty sweet. They got a nice little room upstairs that you can go in there by yourself.”

After just a small taste of the culture inside Swinney’s program, Anderson had no problem putting into words what he experienced.

“Man, that is easy,” he said. “It’s a family program. It is a dedicated team and they are about the right things. Family. It’s not about clicks and money. They are about what football should be about, not like all these other schools. That is what I like about it.”

“It’s not fake like a lot of other cultures are. They put it on display. It is real. You can tell by some of the other linebackers that are there that they are genuine people. You can tell that they care about everybody else, not just their self.”

And earning that offer from the Tigers was a little surreal for the rising high school senior.

“It was a dream come true,” Anderson said. “Clemson has always been one of the schools I wanted to go to.”

While Anderson wasn’t really expecting an offer from Clemson to immediately materialize, after some of his showings at other camps that earned him multiple Power-4 offers, the talented linebacker did go into his workout at Clemson with a little more confidence.

“I try not to think like that,” Anderson said. “But since I was going to camps before and getting offers, I did not expect to, but I had a little bit more confidence about it. Coach Goodwin also came and watched me play in my spring game so that also helped my confidence a little bit.”

Anderson said a decision could be coming sometime in July and he is also planning to attend the All-In Cookout next month. When it comes to what he is looking for in a college destination, Anderson maintains Clemson checks all the boxes.

“I just want a good team, a good coaching staff like Clemson’s got,” Anderson said. “A school with all the right things and where it’s about family. Not having someone easily chose over you because of clicks, or how many stars they have, or what they claim to be.”
