CLEMSON — As a kid, PJ Hall always dreamed about taking Clemson Basketball on a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. This past season, he saw that dream come true, as he helped lead the Tigers to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

On Thursday, Hall saw another dream of his come true.

The former Clemson Tiger was not drafted but instead signed a two-way contract with the Denver Nuggets. Hall had interest in the second round, but will now reunite with Hunter Tyson in the Nuggets organization.

Last year, Tyson was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the 37th pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Hall became just the 14th player in Clemson Men’s Basketball history to earn First-Team All-ACC honors this past season. The 6-foot-11, 238-pound post player averaged 18.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in 2023-’24, on his way to Associated Press Honorable Mention honors.

His 659 points set the school record for points in a season. The existing record was 651 points by Horace Grant in 1986-’87 and Bill Yarborough in 1954-’55.

Hall’s 18.3 scoring average is the best by a Clemson player since 2018-’19 when Marquise Reed had a 19.4 average. Hall’s figure this year is the third best over the last 24 seasons.

The Spartanburg, S.C., native finished fourth in the ACC in scoring in 2023-’24, while ranking 15th in rebounding. He shot at a very high clip too, ninth in the league (48.8 percent).

Defensively, Hall was sixth in the ACC blocks per game (1.42) and had 51 blocked shots this season.

Hall finished seventh on Clemson’s all-time scoring list (1,702 points). He is just the fourth Tiger to amass 1,700 points, 600 rebounds and 100 blocks in a career, joining Trevor Booker, Elden Campbell and Dale Davis.

He has posted seven double-doubles, including a career high 31 points and 17 rebounds against Georgia Tech this past January.
