Clemson football is getting one of the nation’s top-ranked defensive backs in the class of 2025 in Peach State commitment Tae Harris . That much was already known.

What wasn’t known until Monday was that Harris also intends to compete for the Tigers’ track & field team and be a dual sport athlete.

“I’m blessed to announce that I will be apart of the track team starting in the spring for the tigers. All glory to god without him I am nothing.✝️” Harris wrote in a social media post to X, formerly Twitter, Monday.

A four-star recruit, Harris is currently listed as the No. 7 safety in the nation for the class of 2025 by 247Sports’ Recruiting Rankings . Listed as 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, the Cedartown native is ranked the No. 87 overall player in the nation and the No. 12 player from Georgia by 247Sports.

Harris committed to Clemson back in March after decommitting from the Georgia Bulldogs in January.

Harris recorded 44 tackles in his junior season at Cedartown High School to go with three forced fumbles and six pass breakups.
