Fans Roasting Clemson After Apparent Flaw With Video Game Uniforms

College football fans are clamoring about the new details we learned about on Tuesday with a six-minute video detailing “Dynasty mode” in the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game. The breakdown was narrated by none other than Kirk Herbstreit and was filled with gameplay footage and cut scenes that truly show the level of detail put into this game.

As excited as fans are about the peek at the new feature, much of the conversation surrounds one particular clip of the Clemson Tigers. At one point near the end of the video, a cutaway scene displayed the Tigers players wearing uniforms with MAC patches.

While conference realignment and team customization are options in the game, that didn’t appear to be the context behind this clip. Screen grabs opened the floodgates for fans to start trolling the Tigers.

“They still wouldn’t win the conference,” Jonny said.

“Someone at EA relegated Clemson to the MAC in their dynasty before capturing this clip lmaooo. So much for getting into the SEC or the Big Ten,” Youtuber Bordeaux wrote.

One Clemson account got in on the fun joking, “Clemson to the MAC, confirmed. Thanks for the heads up EA Sports College Football 25.”

An account covering Northern Illinois is expecting some real home-field advantage in a hypothetical matchup against the Tigers saying, “Looking forward to hosting Clemson on a snowy November night at Huskie Stadium!”

“Checks out, Clemson is basically a MAC program at this point,” Barstool Bama commented.

Clemson’s Barstool account had to do a double-take after missing the ACC patch.

As fun as it would be to see the Tigers travel to Ypsilanti, Michigan, in mid-November, one fan thinks this would be a disaster in real life. “The Clemson offense would take all the fun out of MACTION,” the post read.

Another fan thinks this is part of a deeper message and writes, “So EA sees into the future. They know Clemson/FSU wins their lawsuit against the ACC and looks for a new home. SEC, Big XII, and Big Ten all say, ‘We good.’ CLEMSON GETS MACtion!”

While the reality of Clemson joining the MAC is unlikely, it doesn’t make me any less excited about shredding through the ACC with the Western Michigan Broncos after I customize dynasty mode to revamp conference realignment.
