CLEMSON — At the end of the spring, Clemson lost freshman Adam Kissayi to the transfer portal. It was a blow to the Tigers’ depth at defensive end.

Tuesday, at Dabo Swinney’s Media Outing at the Allen Reeves Football Complex, defensive ends coach Chris Rumph addressed the situation and how the Tigers evaluated the Kissayi’s departure.

“Coach Swinney asked me if I wanted to go in the portal and get anybody,” Rumph said. “I was happy with the depth and the people that we have on the team right now. So, when he decided to leave, for whatever the reason, I wish him much success, but we have to keep moving.”

In the spring, Clemson moved Peter Woods and Caden Story from defensive tackle to defensive end to help with the depth at the position. The Tigers, of course, are also having to replace Xavier Thomas and Justin Mascoll at defensive end.
