TCI Recruiting Roundup: Clemson Targets Set to Return for All-In Cookout

The All-In Cookout used to be one of the biggest recruiting events of the year for Clemson.

Over the past few years, with summer officials now wielding so much importance, the cookout now takes a backseat to the big official visit weekend in early June and even the Elite Retreat that is held in January each year.

However, it’s still an important event, and this year will be no different. Most of the committed prospects will be on campus, giving those recruits a chance to continue bonding with another, as well as serving as a reminder as to why they chose Clemson in the first place.

Two priority targets will also be in attendance. 4-star WR Dillon Alfred (Saraland, AL), who picked up his offer from the Tigers less than a month ago, is set to return. The 5-foot-11 wideout was at one time committed to Ole Miss, but decommitted just before announcing his offer to Clemson.

Alfred will be joined by his parents and his brother, as well as an uncle and his trainer.

“Basically going to just spend some more time there,” Alfred told The Clemson Insider last month. “My whole family is going, and my family loves it there. Spend more time talking to the coaches and just enjoy our time there. Looking forward to having a great time and having great conversations with the coaches.”

Alfred was last on campus for Dabo Swinney’s high school camp in early June. He made the trek to campus so he could work out in front of the coaching staff in an effort to earn an offer. It is the offer he’d wanted since taking an unofficial visit to Clemson back in the spring. After an impressive showing, earn that offer he did.

The Tigers already have one receiver committed in the 2025 class in 4-star Ju Ju Preston and are now looking to add another, with Alfred being the guy they want.

4-star LB Logan Anderson (Fyffe, AL) will also be on hand. Anderson was last on campus for camp as well, and also earned his offer with a more than impressive showing.

“It was a dream come true,” Anderson told TCI after getting the offer. “Clemson has always been one of the schools I wanted to go to.”

The Tigers are still looking for a linebacker to add to the class and with 4-star Kamar Archie having committed to Rutgers last month, Anderson is now the lone remaining uncommitted target with an offer.

Both players have said they would like to have decisions made by the end of July and if those timelines hold, this weekend in Clemson could have a substantial impact.
