Clemson has already landed one of the two uncommitted targets that were on hand for the All-In Cookout, with 4-star LB Logan Anderson announcing a verbal pledge on Friday.
The second uncommitted target, 4-star WR Dillon Alfred (Saraland, AL), is set to announce on Monday. Dillon told TCI he plans to announce at either 4 p.m. or 5 p.m.
The former Ole Miss commit arrived in Clemson on Thursday, accompanied by his parents, a brother, an uncle and his trainer. It was the third time he’d been on campus since the spring.
“Basically going to just spend some more time there,” Alfred told TCI in a recent interview. “My whole family is going, and my family loves it there. Spend more time talking to the coaches and just enjoy our time there. Looking forward to having a great time and having great conversations with the coaches.”
After leaving Clemson, he also made a stop at Ole Miss, the school he was at one time committed. Alfred announced a commitment to the Rebels back in the spring, but would attend Dabo Swinney’s high school camp the first week of June, looking to add an offer from the Tigers.
“I love that coaching staff over there. The facility, the campus. I love everything about Clemson,” Alfred said. “The history they have there. Again, I love the coaches there, and I love the way they treat their players.”
Three weeks later, Alfred announced the offer from Clemson and decommitted from Ole Miss, opening his recruitment back up. However, with Mississippi being where he’s from, the Rebels have remained in the picture, as evidenced by the latest visit.
