The WinShape Foundation hosted a five-day camp from June 17-21 at One Church in Fayetteville to offer children opportunities to cultivate their skills and talents in a mix of outdoor and indoor activities in their own city. The camp is part of a traveling nationwide summer camp initiative.
Local Food Pantry Continues to Give Back
With about 12 to 20 volunteers, the Compassion Ministry Food Pantry gave away food to dozens on June 22, a bi-weekly undertaking to provide food for community members in need. The events aim to curtail hunger in the community, and the giveaways take place at Fayette Friends Community Church, located at 847 New Hope Road in Fayetteville, every Tuesday and Saturday.
