The Cleveland Browns went through a couple of quarterbacks last season on their way to a playoff appearance. Starter Deshaun Watson went down with a shoulder injury and his replacement, Dorian Thompson-Robinson soon went down with his own injury.

The Browns signed former Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets signal caller Joe Flacco to fill in, and he led the team to the playoffs.

Watson and Thompson-Robinson are expected back for 2024, and the Browns chose to move on from the 38-year-old Flacco. Cleveland signed former Saints and Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston to add depth at the position.

Winston was the No. 1 overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2015 draft, but never caught on in Bruce Arians' offense.

After spending some time in New Orleans as a backup, he became a free agent this offseason.

Winston was at the Browns' facility where a fan posted a video of the former first-overall pick taking snaps from center Luke Wypler. Winston was wearing a sports coat and khakis in the video during the "workout."

"The most important thing, I believe, is the relationship between me and Deshaun is in a place where it will continue to grow and flourish," Winston said , per Akron Beacon Journal 's Chris Easterling. "I just admire him as a person and, definitely, as a football player. I look forward to allowing him to lean on me for anything that he needs. And also encouraging him and providing him with different resources that he probably hasn't gotten from people who have been in the same room as him."
