CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The NFL schedule drops Wednesday evening, but we know who the Cleveland Browns will kick the 2024 NFL season off against.

The Browns will host the Dallas Cowboys September 8 at 4:25.

"It's exciting to be able to open the season at home," head coach Kevin Stefanski said via the team's website. "Last year's home opener was electric, and we expect the same atmosphere. We feed off our fans' energy and I am sure there will be a little extra juice from them with this being the first one of the 2024 season. The Cowboys are the defending NFC East champs, so it will be a great challenge and we are looking forward to it."

The game will be broadcast on FOX and will also be Tom Brady’s regular season game analyst debut for the network.

Both teams are coming off playoff appearances last season. Dallas went 12-5 during the 2023 season while the Browns finished 11-6.

The game will feature the 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, against Cowboys big arm quarterback Dak Prescott.

The last time the two teams played saw the Browns beat the Cowboys 49-38 in Dallas during the 2020 season. This marks the first visit to the shores of Lake Erie for the Cowboys since a 35-10 win for Dallas in 2016.

Cleveland leads the overall series, which dates back to 1960, between the two franchises 18-14.

The full schedule will be released Wednesday night at 8 p.m.
