A woman charged with the murder of a young boy in a shocking assault outside an Ohio supermarket had previously begged cops to lock her up months before the tragic incident.

Three year old Julian Wood tragically lost his life after he and his mother were attacked with a knife in the car park of Giant Eagle in North Olmstead, Cleveland, on June 3. Bionca Ellis, aged 32, was apprehended shortly after the assault and is facing murder charges.

New details have surfaced indicating that this wasn't Ellis' first brush with the law . Footage from police body cams, which the FOX 8 I-Team got hold of, shows that Florida police dealt with Ellis for trespassing at a hotel just months prior to the attacks in Ohio.

Ellis expressed a desire to be arrested during her interaction with the Florida police. An officer instructed her: "You need to leave the property."

To which Ellis responded: "What about getting arrested? " Despite being asked to vacate the premises, Ellis refused, explaining to the officers: "Because it's cold outside and I have nowhere else to go."

Ellis has entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of murdering Julian and was present for a pre-trial hearing on Monday. Courtroom footage captured her frowning and avoiding eye contact with the judge.

Ellis has remained uncooperative and silent in court, with it taking three attempts to arraign her on charges of aggravated murder and assault. At her arraignment, Ellis was seen shaking her head, not responding to questions, unclear if she understood the indictment, and then refusing to have her lawyer read it to her.

When prompted by the judge to enter a plea, Ellis merely giggled and uttered, "Si."

On June 3, around 3pm, Margot Wood was preparing to load her shopping into her car outside a Giant Eagle supermarket when an assailant charged at her and her son Julian with a knife, stabbing them both, according to police reports.

Officers from the North Olmsted division responded swiftly, capturing the suspect and providing immediate first aid to the wounded mother and child. A harrowing surveillance video captured the last moments of young Julian's life as he played with his mother's shopping trolley during what should have been an ordinary visit to the grocery store.

The footage then captures a woman, identified as Ellis, advancing towards the family in the busy parking lot, wielding a kitchen knife. Tragically, within minutes, three-year-old Julian lay bleeding on the ground as his mother Margot implored the emergency services, saying, "Don't worry about me."

Emergency services rushed to the scene in an attempt to save the young boy's life, but nearby, 32 year old Ellis was apprehended, still holding the bloodied knife. Earlier that day, Ellis had allegedly pilfered two knives from a second-hand shop.

CCTV footage showed her pacing outside the Giant Eagle before entering at 2.58 pm, brandishing a knife. Both Julian and his mother were hurriedly transported to a local hospital by paramedics, but tragically, the young lad didn't survive his injuries.

According to police reports, Julian sustained stab wounds to his back and cheek. Margot survived the terrifying incident and is currently recuperating from non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities confirmed that Ellis had no previous connection with the victims. Just days before the dreadful attack, an Ohio judge had released Ellis from custody.
