    Ex-Guardians pitcher traded for the second time

    MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (WKBN) – Former Cleveland Guardians pitcher Aaron Civale has been officially traded from the Tampa Bay Rays to the Milwaukee Brewers.

    Tampa Bay reportedly receives minor league infielder Gregory Barrios in the deal which was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

    It marks the second straight summer that Civale has been dealt. He was traded from Cleveland to Tampa Bay prior to the MLB trade deadline in 2023 in exchange for Kyle Manzardo.

    This season, Civale has posted a record of 2-6 with a 5.07 ERA in 17 starts for the Rays. He has struck out 84 batters in 87 innings of work.
