    DeWine orders flags lowered for fallen Ohio officer

    COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) — Governor DeWine has ordered flags to be lowered following the death of a Cleveland police officer .

    DeWine announced in a press release that flags should be flown at half-staff in honor of the life and service of officer Jamieson Ritter.

    This order applies to all public buildings and grounds throughout Cuyahoga County, at the Ohio Statehouse, Vern Riffe Center and Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus from today until sunset on the day of his funeral.

    All other U.S. and state flags throughout Ohio may be lowered at the discretion of the building’s owners and operators.
