Nick Chubb Turning Heads With Rehab Workout

    By Dave Holcomb,

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb has featured some of the strongest legs in the NFL during his six-year career. Knee surgery hasn't changed that.

A video posted on social media Monday featured Chubb squatting so much weight in a rehab workout that the bar bell was significantly bending.

The official NFL X (formerly Twitter) account reposted the short clip, where Chubb did two repetitions with the insane weight.

"Nick Chubb looks ready to get back out there," the NFL account wrote along with a pair of emojis.

Chubb underwent two knee surgeries last fall. The first procedure repaired his left MCL and the second fixed his left ACL.

The Akron Beacon Journal's Chris Easterling wrote that there "appears to be a total of 12 45-pound plates" on the bar bell Chubb was using to squat.

If true, Chubb was squatting 540 pounds plus the weight of the bar in the video.

That left a lot of fans on X very impressed.

Chubb underwent the pair of surgeries last fall in the same knee that he injured during college in 2015. He suffered the season-ending left knee injury during Week 2 last season.

Effectively playing five quarters last season, Chubb had 28 carries in 2023 . But he was a Pro Bowl running back each of the previous four seasons.

During his last full season in 2022, Chubb rushed for a career-high 1,525 yards and made second-team All-Pro.

Despite all the weight he is squatting, though, it's unclear when Chubb will return to the field this year.
