Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson told The Athletic that he is taking it "one day at a time" with his recovery from shoulder surgery last November.  Watson has been following a strict plan that involved throwing every day since April, and his goal is to be nearly 100% recovered when the Browns' training camp begins on July 23.

Watson did not elaborate on whether he would have any throwing limitations at the start of training camp. The good news is that he reported that no setbacks have occurred in his rehab. Watson was grateful to the Browns' medical team and his doctors for assisting in his recovery. He wants to be the best he can be for a Browns team that has not been able to fully utilize his talents in the two seasons he has been in Cleveland.

Deshaun Watson has only played 12 games since the conclusion of the 2020 season. The first order of business for Watson in 2024 is to stay healthy and be able to play 17 games for the Browns.  If he can do that, Browns fans will finally be able to determine if Watson's 2020 heroics (over 4,800 passing yards and 33 touchdowns) with the Texans are still within his skill set.
