Everyone's Saying The Same Thing About Cavs' $269 Million Decision On NBA Rising Star

Evan Mobley just got PAID! The Cleveland Cavaliers center signed a max contract to stay in Cleveland. That's five years, $224 million for an All-Defense star who's yet to enter his prime.

However, not every fan is happy about this new contract. In fact, there's a sizable number of people that are saying that this was a major overpay for the Cavaliers considering Mobley's place in the NBA hierarchy.

"I don’t like this. Paying him all-NBA money when he hasn’t shown he is close to being an all star, let alone all-NBA. Didn’t need to do that. Should have waited another year," @pronkville08 said.

"Feels like a lot of money to a guy that didn't seem to get that much better in 3 seasons but what do I know," @PG3times13 commented.

"That is a nasty overpay but they dont got a choice so cant blame em," @FeelsLikeDrew noted.

Mobley had an excellent first season that saw him contend for the Rookie of the Year crowd. His defense has remained outstanding for the most part, but his offense has fallen off a little bit last season.
