Cleveland Mother Sentenced For Killing 3-Year-Old Son

A local mother learned her fate after being convicted of taking the life of her own son just a year ago.

Timmeka Eggleton admitted to killing her son Curtis in June 2023. That same month she pleaded guilty to murder and several other charges.

Today she was sentenced to life in prison and will be eligible for parole after 31-35 years.

Curtis was in foster care for 2.5 years and doing well. In March of 2023, however, Cuyahoga County Juvenile Judge Allison Floyd terminated supervision and gave Curtis back to his biological mother permanently, even though an attorney hired to represent the child expressed concerns. Four months later, the child was killed.

FOX 8 goes on to report that the child’s foster parents and biological father warned against him going back to live with his biological mother.

At the sentencing Michelle Moody, Curtis’ foster mom, told Eggleton, “You are no mother, you’re a monster.”
