    Cleveland Browns RB D’onta Foreman rushed to hospital in helicopter after neck injury caused by direct blow to head

    CLEVELAND Browns running back D’Onta Foreman suffered a scary injury at training camp.

    Foreman took a hit to the head and neck area on Thursday that resulted in him being rushed to the hospital in a helicopter.

    The Browns shared that Foreman was immobilized before being taken off the field in an ambulance after feeling pain in his neck from the hit.

    In a statement, the Browns revealed that he had movement in all extremities after the hit.

    “During practice today, Browns RB D’Onta Foreman sustained a direct blow to the head that resulted in neck pain,” the statement read .

    “The Browns athletic training staff deployed their standard emergency action procedures to immobilize Foreman.

    “He was taken to an ambulance and is being transported via helicopter to a Medical Center in Roanoke, VA to undergo further medical evaluation.

    “Foreman had movement in all his extremities. Updates will be provided as more information is received.”

    Fans shared an outpouring of support for Foreman after hearing the news of his injury.

    “Praying for full recovery & healing,” one fan said.

    “Hope everything is okay,” another fan said.

    “Very scary. Hope he recovers to full health and gets to finish on his terms,” a third fan said.

    “Thank God he has movement,” a fourth fan said.

    “I really hope he’s okay and has a quick recovery,” a fifth fan said.

    Foreman signed with the Browns this offseason after spending the 2023 season with the Chicago Bears .

    The 28-year-old started his career with the Houston Texans after being drafted with the 89th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

    He spent two year sin Houston before spending 2019 off of a professional roster.

    Foreman made it back to the NFL in 2020 with the Tennessee Titans and spent two years with them.

    He signed with the Panthers in 2022, where he had the best season of his career, going for 914 yards and five touchdowns. Foreman took on a smaller role with the Bears after signing with them in 2023.

    In his career, Foreman has 2,326 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground. He also has 342 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.
