Browns WR Jerry Jeudy weighs in on possibility of Cleveland making blockbuster trade for 49ers’ Brandon Aiyuk

Right now, the biggest storyline around the NFL is likely Brandon Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers. The Cleveland Browns could potentially enter the mix there, as they’ve been rumored to be interested in Aiyuk for some time.

Aiyuk wants paid and the 49ers have been reluctant to do that so far. The star wide receiver is in a “hold-in” with the 49ers and is not participating in training camp.

Now, the Browns at least know one of their top wide receivers would be okay with the move. Jerry Jeudy spoke on Sunday and was arms wide open for Aiyuk to come to Cleveland.

“It’s just making the receiver corps a lot better,” Jeudy said of the possible move that has been rumored. “Brandon Aiyuk is a great player, so bringing him to the team, we’re going to make the team better and help us win more games and that’s the goal, to win more games.”

For Jeudy, he returned to the practice field in full force on Day 8 and was a big factor. Quarterback Deshaun Watson connected on a deep ball with Jeudy and it was exactly what the Browns wanted to see from the two. The duo will need to continue improving their chemistry but it was a big step in the right direction.

“I’ve been feeling good for a long time. I’ve just been trusting the training staff and when they want to get me going and get me getting reps.”

What the Browns would have to give up for Aiyuk is unknown , but it’ll likely be a player and an early pick. The 49ers are competing for a Super Bowl, so getting a player back could be the way to go so they can contribute now.

For now, Amari Cooper and Jeudy will combine with Elijah Moore to lead the wide receiver room for the Browns. However, if the temperature heats up on the trade market, the Browns could be making a big change soon.
