Sheboygan Bar Closed Due to “Unfair Restrictions” on Its Liquor License
A popular bar in Sheboygan hasn’t poured a drink, fried cheese curds, or played any music on the jukebox since the beginning of July. Dave’s Who’s Inn, located at 835 Indiana Avenue near the Sheboygan River, is going through a dispute with the City of Sheboygan over what they say are unfair restrictions that were added to their liquor license.

Sheboygan’s Iconic Dave’s Who’s Inn Closes Amid License Dispute
SHEBOYGAN, Wisc. — Dave’s Who’s Inn, a long-standing bar in Sheboygan, has remained closed for the past three weeks after owner David Repinski decided to shut its doors at the end of June. The closure came in response to stipulations attached to the renewal of the bar’s liquor license, which Repinski and his lawyer, Richard Hahn, found to be unfair. The city imposed conditions that no underage persons be allowed on the premises and that a metal detector be used to screen all patrons, measures Repinski argues are unprecedented and detrimental to the family-friendly atmosphere he has cultivated over the years.
