A 55-year-old truck driver from Linden died in the crash. The prosecutor's office says the commercial truck crashed into the barrier, causing it to catch on fire and explode. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is surveying the impacts. "Everything is ruined and it smells like fumes," said Gavira. "It was diesel fuel I was told, and I was told not to go there and touch it. Leave it the way it is." Puddles of chemicals and cinders damaged the Gavira's backyard.
