People are not supposed to live in places where it is 121 degrees F. But some do. That is the temperature in Joba Oman.

Oman is on the Arabian Sea, east of Saudi Arabia. According to Goaway Travel: “The hot season is from May to September and temperatures can reach up 50˚C (122˚F) even in the shade.”

A comment about a nearby city: In Muscat, the summers are short, sweltering, muggy, arid, and partly cloudy and the winters are comfortable, dry, and mostly clear. Over the year, the temperature typically varies from 64°F to 101°F and is rarely below 60°F or above 109°F.

    How To Handle The Heat

The National Weather Service has some heat health observations: “Symptoms: Throbbing headache, confusion, nausea, dizziness, body temperature above 103°F, hot, red, dry or damp skin, rapid and strong pulse, fainting, loss of consciousness.”
