Presbyterian College had two players picked Monday in the 2024 MLB Draft . Pitcher Daniel Eagen was selected in the third round by the Arizona Diamondbacks and outfielder Joel Dragoo in the seventh round by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Eagen, the Big South Conference pitcher of the year, was the 102nd overall pick. He became Presbyterian’s highest draft pick in program history, surpassing Ryan Kane, a third baseman and outfielder who was taken 144th by the California Angels in 1995. Dragoo was the 222nd pick.

They became the first Presbyterian duo to be chosen in the same draft since Kane was picked along with 15th-rounder Elton Pollock, a former catcher who is now coach of the Blue Hose. Seven players from Presbyterian have been drafted. These were the first since Bud Jeter was picked by the Diamondbacks in 2013.
