Gastonia unveils new public transportation
Gastonia's new rideshare service was unveiled this week with a fleet of 14 minivans that carry people around the city for as little as $2. The new on-demand microtransit service will replace the six city bus routes, and it is designed to expand transit coverage to more of the city, the city said in a press release.
Fort Mill Celebrates Independence Day with Music, Food & Cannons
The Town of Fort Mill will celebrate the nation’s 248th birthday on Wednesday and Thursday with food, fireworks and fun at their Independence Day Celebration. This free event will be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday (July 3) at the Fort Mill Amphitheater and Walter Elisha Park, 345 N. White St. The celebration will feature music, food trucks, vendors, roving entertainment and children’s activities. Piedmont Medical Center-Fort Mill is also hosting a kids crafts tent.
