Wendy’s Franchisee Ryan O’Malley Puts Culture on the Front Lines of Success
Ryan O’Malley’s restaurant career began in 2007 at Wendy’s of Bowling Green, where he held roles from GM to district manager to director of operations. In 2021, he made the leap to Wendy’s franchisee. Today, O’Malley and his partners operate 136 locations across five states (Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama).

New rules for ballot return in three states with Republican trifectas among changes to absentee/mail-in voting
Three states with Republican trifectas added new definitions of who may return another voter’s ballot in 2024. Idaho adopted H 599, which stipulates that only election officials, postal workers, common carrier employees, a person paid by the voter, a relative of the voter, a member of their household, or a caregiver may collect or deliver another voter’s voted or unvoted ballot. It also provides that collecting and delivering more than 10 absentee/mail-in ballots is a felony.

“We hope this is something that continues to grow. It gives our fields some use, gets the community involved, gives our student workers some hours and keeps the older adults active,” said Aaron Page. He, along with other directing staff at the Russellville Parks and Recreation Department have spent the past two weeks reaching out in an attempt to grow the adult softball league. “This is a trial thing,” Page said. “We haven’t done adult sports in quite some time, but if this continues to do well, I know some of the guys I’ve headed this up with have some great ideas for the future.
