Rite Aid to shutter 18 more Ohio stores: See the full list
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Rite Aid is aiming to close nearly 20 additional stores in Ohio as the pharmacy chain continues through its Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. According to documents filed on June 28 and July 1 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Rite Aid proposed the closure of 18 more stores.

Governor DeWine appoints Kendell to Miami County Municipal Court
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine Tuesday announced the appointment of Anthony Kendell to the Miami County Municipal Court. Kendell, of Piqua, will assume office on July 22, 2024, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Judge Gary Nasal, who retired. He will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and will need to run for election in November 2025 to retain the seat.
Leipsic Fishing and Hunting Association hosts R100 National Archery Tour
OTTAWA - On a weekend towards the end of June (June 21st, 22nd, 23rd), the Leipsic Fishing and Hunting Association hosted the R100 National Archery Tour. The event was a open to the public, family fun archery shoot that is only hosted once a year in Ohio and 16 other states. Last year, the association hosted the event and had around 550- 600 shooters, and this year they hoped to beat that number. On the morning of the first day of the event, they were just a few people shy of their numbers from last year’s Friday, but the weekend was just beginning and they expected archers to stream in throughout the event days.
Library dedicates new StoryWalk® in Stadium Park
DELPHOS — After two years of effort, the Delphos Public Library’s StoryWalk® at Stadium Park in now compete. “I made a proposal to the city in September 2022 and we got the grant from the Dientsberger Foundation in December 2022,” Delphos Public Library Youth Services Librarian Rachel Strahm said. “The rest of the time was spent getting the order in and coordinating where the story stations would be.”
