    Man accused of Clovis killings, kidnapping to go to trial soon

    CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – The man accused of killing two women in Clovis and kidnapping an infant will have his trial next month.

    Alek Collins is accused of killing Samantha “Harley” Cisneros and Taryn Allen, shooting a five-year-old girl, and kidnapping an infant last month.

    Police claimed Collins took the infant to Abilene, Texas, carjacked an Uber driver, and rammed into a police car.

    Collins is facing a federal kidnapping of a minor charge, as well as using and discharging a firearm during a crime. He will continue to be held in federal custody until his trial, which is also set for July 8 in Albuquerque.
