Junction City conducts water system improvement project
The City of Junction City has a Water System Improvements Project starting July 18th continuing through the month of August. Areas affected will be from 4th Street to 12th Street between Eisenhower to Jefferson. Those areas will have potential for minor disruptions of service during working hours and the disruption could range from one to two hours.
Manhattan Boys & Girls Club Early Learning Center
The grand opening for the new Early learning Center and 30th anniversary of the Manhattan Boys & Girls Club were celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Thursday. The new facility can serve 156 Infant through Pre-K children. It contains nine classrooms.

JCHS alumni stones are put in place

RCFD#1 holds Ribbon Cutting for New Ashland Bottoms Volunteer Fire Station #102
RILEY CO., Kan. (WIBW) - The Riley County Fire District #1 unveiled a new volunteer fire station in southern Riley County Friday morning. The new Ashland Bottoms volunteer fire station in Manhattan was celebrated with a dedication ribbon-cutting ceremony. Construction began in February of this year and was paid for with existing fire district project funds. The new station is a major upgrade over the one it is replacing, which was built in the 1960s and was outdated.
