JUNEAU – Zachariah Rasch, 42, of Clyman, was arrested on suspicion of using Crystal Rasch's financial accounts after she'd been missing.

Crystal Rasch was last seen on or around June 11 and was reported missing June 23, and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office has been searching for her in the week since with law enforcement-sanctioned searches only.

During that time, investigators looked into her financials and found multiple transactions from her accounts, according to a June 28 update from the sheriff's office.

Zachariah Rasch is accused of being responsible for those transactions and processing them without consent, and he was arrested on multiple counts of suspected unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information.

He is in custody in Dodge County Jail and made his initial appearance in court June 28. The court commissioner found probable cause, and a $250,000 cash bond was issued.

    Search continues for Crystal Rasch

The sheriff's office is still investigating Crystal Rasch's disappearance as a missing person investigation, but with this update, the sheriff's office said it is also treating the case with suspicion a felony has been committed.

The search will continue to be restricted to authorized law enforcement to maintain the integrity of the investigation, the sheriff's office said.

"We certainly have far more knowledge regarding her disappearance than what we are able to release," the sheriff's office wrote in the update. "However, as in any criminal case, we are not able to release additional information as the integrity of the investigation, and potential criminal prosecution that may follow as a result of the case, must be maintained."

Outside agencies continue to assist, including the Adams County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Brent York said in a separate news release June 28 that Crystal Rasch has connections to two parcels of land in the town of Springville, which almost 100 officers searched during the previous two days.

No other information was released as of Monday morning, but the Dodge County Sheriff's Office maintains all people involved are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
