The Oak Ridge Outdoor Pool will close for the season beginning Monday, Aug. 12. The last day the pool will be open is Sunday, Aug. 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for open swim. In 2018, the ORNL Federal Credit Union introduced “Summer Sessions” − a free concert series for the community featuring bluegrass and Americana bands from throughout the region. League of Angels aims to make baseball accessible for all
Local nonprofit League of Angels is partnering with the Town of Farragut to demonstrate how baseball can be enjoyed by people of all abilities. The League of Angels Festival is 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Mayor Bob Leonard Park, 301 Watt Road. The event will feature an exhibition game, along with food trucks, vendors and music. The community is invited to celebrate and support baseball for those with disabilities.
