Close Call: Police Officer Narrowly Avoids Falling Tree
SELMA – A Selma Police officer narrowly escaped being struck by a falling tree on East Preston Street near South Webb Street on Wednesday morning. The officer was stopped when he saw the large tree falling directly toward him so quickly got out of the way, but a wire then fell in front of his police cruiser, trapping him patrol car between the tree and wire.
