Musician Thomas Konow, 61, Killed In Fiery Catskill Crash
The Greene County incident happened at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, on State Route 9W in Catskill. New York State Police said Thomas Konow, age 61, of Claverack in Columbia County, was driving a GMC SUV southbound on SR 9W when the vehicle left the roadway, struck the wall of a railroad overpass, and caught fire.

Police: Owner intentionally set butcher shop on fire. The owner of a Colonie butcher shop is accused of intentionally setting his business on fire last year. The fire happened on June 8, 2023 around 5 a.m. at Big Body Butcher Shop at 2008 Central Ave. The business had extensive damage and never reopened. Investigators determined it to be suspicious.

Police investigate overnight shooting that left one woman wounded
ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — Albany Police are investigating an overnight shooting that occurred on New Hope Terrace. According to police, around 1:30 a.m. officers responded to the area of New Hope Terrace and North First Street for reports of a shooting. ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — An email was sent out Tuesday to UAlbany students and faculty addressing a "potential cybersecurity threat." In the overnight hours, a threatening email was sent to numerous UAlbany email addresses and flagged as a potential cybersecurity threat. While the email threatens that explosive devices were planted at various locations and states that the actor is still on campus, the University Police Department has no information to suggest that any aspect of the message is credible.
