Aces Fall In Series Opener to Rainiers in 5-4 Defeat
Tacoma, Washington. – The Reno Aces (49-44) fell short to the Tacoma Rainiers (9-10, 52-42) in a 5-4 loss in Friday’s series opener at Cheney Stadium. Albert Almora had an excellent day at the plate, collecting three base knocks, notably getting Reno on the board with a two-RBI double to plate Sergio Alcantara and Jorge Barrosa in the second inning. The 30-year-old has now posted three hits on four occasions in July.
San Francisco Man Arrested for Armed Carjacking in Colma, Stolen Reno PD Firearm Recovered
A carjacking incident in Colma led to the arrest of a San Francisco resident last night. According to the Colma Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Serra Center parking lot at about 7:45 PM following the report of a carjacking involving a firearm. The victim reported to officers on site that a male suspect had brandished a weapon and forcibly taken their vehicle.

Reno, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Some parents who send their kids to Reno summer camps were overcharged overnight. A parent reached out to News 4/Fox 11 who said their child is registered for Vacation Station, a weekly camp at a Reno recreation center. The price is $130 per week. But the parent said she woke up to find that she was charged $810. That's more than six times the regular price.
